FIA to perform again at Wicked Faire!

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season, new year and all that! FIA have been hard at work preparing some new music to perform this year! We will be performing in February at Wicked Faire - go to http://www.wickedfaire.com to find out more! (that is, if the site is working - it wasn't the last time I tried.) Some details are:
Faire Start Time: Friday, February 20, 2009 at 2:00pm
End Time: Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 5:00pm

Fun and Folking

Hi all!

Matthew and I have been doing some great things with Folk it All in the past few months, and I have been naughty and not posted. So finally, here's an update!

Back in December, we did another Second Life Show at Matt Kraken's House Waves. Matt was kind enough to host us, even though his venue is officially closed! We are on the lookout for new Second Life locations to play!

We had an awesome time performing at Wicked Faire last weekend in Edison, New Jersey! What a great place to put on some garb and sing wonderfully geeky songs!! Finally, a crowd that appreciates our BTVS covers!! Brings a tear to my eye... ^__^

Also, we had our first show as a musical act for burlesque last month, and we're doing it again tonight at The Cup in Staten Island for Ginger Baker's special Valentine's Day show!! We are trying to convince these guys to have a show in another borough so more people can make it - we'll be sure to let you know if we're successful!! Meanwhile, if you're free and fancy a trip down to the southernmost borough, come check us out!!

Matthew and I have enjoyed our Summer break and this Fall have been gearing up to get back into the performing action! Watch this space for news of upcoming shows both in Second Life and in the NYC area! We are working on some new music and are excited to share it with you in the near future!

Open Mic Appearance 3/20

Hello again, FIA followers -

The dynamic duo (that's us!!) is making an appearance on Tuesday, March 20 at the Crowing at the Creek open mic in Long Island City. Before you assume this is somewhere far away, allow me to let you know that it's one measly stop on the 7 train from Grand Central!! How do ya like that??

Concert This Friday!

Hello FIA fans! This Friday 3/23 at 9PM you can see us in Brooklyn at Vox Pop, an awesome bar and coffee house. We had our first show there a couple of months ago and it was great fun!! This time we are bringing out some great new songs, including a powerful protest song and a stunning folk rendition of Sir Mix-A-Lot. You will definitely not want to miss it!
